Tanah
Lot Temple (Pura Tanah Lot)
Tanah
Lot Temple or Pura Tanah Lot located in Village of Beraban
belong to Tabanan Regency, on the coast of West Bali. It's
located 16 kilometers west of International Airport Ngurah
Rai, around 20 minutes drive through Sunset Road or 13 kilometers
from the capital city of Tabanan. Tanah Lot Temple is one
of famous place of interest in Bali.
Pura
Tanah Lot was founded around 15 - 16th century by Danghyang
Niratha or Pedanda Sakti Bawu Rawuh, the Hindu Priest from
Majapahit Kingdom in East Java. Tanah Lot in Balinese mean
Tanah Laut or the land over the sea. The temple itself
is built on a small promontory which is only accessible
at low tide. During high water the rock takes on the appearance
of a large boat at sea, such is its shape.
Near
this Temple there are several small and big shrines, the
biggest one is Pekendungan Temple. There is a spring considered
sacred not far from this temple. It looks like a floating
one if the tide is high. There are many caves under the
temple lived by the peaceful sea snakes, which has white
and black colors.

Pura
Luhur Uluwatu (Uluwatu Temple)
Uluwatu
Temple (Pura Uluwatu) is one of Bali's six directional temples
(Sad Kahyangan) and Uluwatu's only site of significance.
More remarkable than the temple itself is its location,
perched on a steep cliff 70 meters above the roaring ocean
waves. There are more steep headlands on either side, and
sunsets over Uluwatu are a sight to behold.
The
temple was first used for worship by the holy 11th century
priest, Empu Kuturan, who came to Bali to bring religious
law and to form Desa Adat (traditional villages). Filled
with the scent of frangipani blossoms and is also the home
of friendly monkeys. Balinese people beleives the temple
can guards Bali from evil spirits from the South West, in
which dwell major deities, in Uluwatu's case; Bhatara Rudra,
God of the elements and of cosmic force majeures.
Uluwatu
mean the head of stone. Uluwatu lies at the southern tip
of Bali in Badung Regency. Dedicated to the spirits of the
sea, the famous Pura Luhur Uluwatu temple is an architectural
wonder in black coral rock, beautifully designed with spectacular
views.

Ulun
Danu Temple (Pura Ulun Danu)
Ulun
Danu Temple or Pura Ulun Danu located on a lake that fills
the crater of ancient mount Bratan at Bedugul Village, Baturiti
district, Tabanan Regency, in the northwestern part of Bali,
in an elevation of 1239 meter above sea level. It is about
62 km from Denpasar and can be reached by motorcycles as
the roads are fairly good. The weather is usually cool and
fresh, bringing the calmness of nature closer and closer
to the mind of whomever witnessing it.
The
name of Beratan Lake is inseparable with the Beratan Mount
as Deity and Goddess as fertility source, prosperity to
keep the prosperity in life and society life. In papyrus
chronicle of the Mengwi, Ulun Danu Beratan Temple referred
as the name of Parhyangan ri pinggiring danu Beratan (sanctum
located in lakeside of Beratan Lake). Ulun come from Hulu
word meaning head or power, what is in this case intended
by Ulun Danu Beratan is power of Beratan Lake that is Danu
Goddess (Dewi Danu).
This
very importance Hindu Buddhist temple was founded in the
17th century, It is dedicated to Dewi Danu, the goddess
of the waters and is actually built on small islands, which
means it is completely surrounded by the lake. Both pilgrimages
and ceremonies are held here to ensure that there is a supply
of water for farmers all over Bali. The temple is truly
beautiful, with classical Hindu thatch-roofed Meru (Multiroofed
Shrines) reflected in the water and silhouetted against
the often cloudy mountain backdrop-one of the commonest
photographic images of Bali.

Ubud
Ubud
is one of place of interest in Bali belong to Gianyar Regency,
located around two - to three hundred meters above sea level
and surrounded by rice fields, which makes it noticeably
cooler than then other tourist destinations in Bali. It's
located 35 km northeast of Bali's International Airport.
It is attractive to tourists for a variety of reasons. On
a relatively small island with a horde of attractions, Ubud
is centrally located, and even the closest beach is only
15 minutes away.
Most
of Bali's museums and galleries are centered in Ubud, but
culture and history rich Bali is peppered with museums and
galleries. These museums and galleries offer paintings,
woodcarvings, textiles and all kinds of souvenirs for viewing
and also purchase. Puri Lukisan Museum in centre of Ubud,
Neka Museum in Campuhan, Seniwati Gallery and Agung Rai
Museum in Pengosekan is a must, to see the difference between
creative art and more commercial products.
Ubud
has a number of charming temples, and there are a variety
of temple festivals and other ceremonies throughout the
year. Ubud is also close to several sites of interest, including
the Mother Temple of Besakih, majestically situated
high on the slopes of the Agung Volcano, and hiking in the
scenic Batur region with its volcano and lake are popular
excursions.
